Tick, Tick, Tick...

Today marks 10 days until I leave for Shepherds! Ten days! Good gracious!

I can't believe how quickly this internship has crept upon me! I have been looking forward to it for so long that it's hard for me to realize that it's actually almost here.

I've been keeping busy by making lists of things to pack/buy, filling out last minute paperwork, catching up on all doctor appointments, and studying the requirements for my internship course. Tonight, I went to the internship orientation at my university and made sure that I understood all of my responsibilities as a student intern. As I left class, I wanted more than anything to start my internship right then and there. I'm so ready.

I feel incredibly blessed to be going to Shepherds this summer. I know God has some amazing things planned for me, and I cannot wait to experience them. I can't wait to learn as much as I can about this field that I am genuinely excited by, and what better way to do that than by completing this experience in a place I love where I am surrounded by people I have a passion for? God is good!

So, I am eagerly awaiting my departure day, but until then, I'll just keep counting down the days. Hours. Minutes. Seconds. You get the idea. =D

Countdown Begins...

This post will probably be very short and rather boring. I feel like finals week has sucked all of the creativity right out of my body, but nevertheless, I wanted to begin the one month countdown until I leave for Shepherds.

I leave in exactly 30 days. Did you get that? Thirty days! I can barely believe it. Time has flown, and as excited as I am, I'm beginning to grow a little nervous. I feel like I have so much to do to get ready. And in such a short time, too! I suppose I should start making a list of everything I need to do so I can quit mulling it over and over in my brain. I'll save that for next week. =D

I know the month of May is going to buzz by. I have about a bazillion doctors' appointments, the Patch the Pirate musical, and my little sister is graduating. Craziness, huh? Well, that's life for ya.

I'm looking forward to my trip and all of the fun prep that comes with it. So, keep checking back with  me to see my progress and stay up to date with my countdown.

30.
